Come see us at our upcoming events. The events we host and participate in are about spreading cheer in our community. We can’t wait to see all your smiling faces and celebrate all the people and events that reinforce why we love where we live!
- Stay tuned for future events!
Our YAYbourhood team shows up at a time when we think you might need some extra cheer. We like to bring unexpected surprises, but we also host scheduled events that we’ll let you know about so you can plan to join us!
International Happiness Day
We went door-to-door spreading Spring Cheer on International Happiness Day, which also happened to be the first day of Spring! Our team delivered 158 spring packages to random houses in Larkspur Landing, Timberidge at Edgemont and Starling at Big Lake.
Baskets of Hope
Baskets of Hope is a charitable initiative founded in 2010 by Krishna Gupta and Dianne Young with kindness and compassion in mind. It is intended to help the women and children of WIN House get back on their feet while feeling precisely how they should feel – valued and cared for. In November of each year, we get together to create baskets of luxury items for the women of WIN House.

Clothes that Care
We hosted a three tier clothing drive event! First, our Rohit employees got together for an office drive, next, we made our way to Glenridding Heights to provide a clothing pick-up for the residents, and lastly we held a party in the park to celebrate! All together we collected 2438 lbs. of clothing for Goodwill Industries of Alberta!
Yoga in the Park
We hosted FREE Yoga at our Starling at Big Lake park every Saturday in the summer. We welcome anyone and everyone to come and STRETCH OUT THE SUMMER with our YAYbourhood team. What a way to start your morning! Every attendee was welcomed with a compliment water and LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE headband to join us as us yogis breathed in all the nature that Starling has to offer. Stay tuned, as we hope to host this again very soon!
Edmonton Pride Parade
We think YOU are the perfect YOU there is! To show our support we showed up in our tie-dyed shirts and gave away colorful buffs to those watching the parade on Whyte Ave. We are very proud to be part of a community that boasts inclusivity!
Ronald McDonald House
What an amazing haven our city has created with Ronald McDonald House. This place wouldn’t run without its dedicated volunteers that help with every aspect all year round. We wanted to thank these volunteers and the RMHCNA residents with a home cooked meal and some fun entertainment!
Edmonton Folk Festival
We surprised Folk Fest goers with bright yellow umbrellas as they stood in line to get into the festival. Umbrellas for the rain or sun, we didn’t care. Those folks also had to use it when we showered them with compliments, as we also passed out compliment waters.
